Random catness

This is not The Cat.  This is a random cat from teh interwebz.

There is no reason for posting it besides the fact that it makes me giggle whenever I see it...

Rabbit Palace

Or:  "A Cautionary Tale of Artistic Zealousness following a Traumatic Breakup.  With Rabbits"

Due to our homeless state, the Cat and I are currently living with my Mum.  Our arrival now means that this house has sheltered all children and step-children at one stage or another of their adult lives - my poor Mum!

One visitor who took up permanent residence is Rabbit (alas, his actual name).  He grew up living in a student household, and had rather a wild youth - at one point having to be taken to the vets as he escaped during the aftermath of a party, and over-indulged in pizza and beer.  His lifestyle has not taken a toll on him however, he remains as handsome as ever.

(If a little fatigued...)

In the long run, he decided he liked it here, where he could live in the garden - my brother visits regularly.

Come Spring, he clearly needed a new hutch, and a rather massive one was duly purchased.  Due to my lack of functioning limbs I was unable to assist with the physical building of the thing.  The Cat and I had arrived just over a week before, and I was just resuming life as an (almost) coherent and functioning human being.

I was seized with the overwhelming desire to help.  As I was ruled out of any manual labour I immediately struck upon the next best option.  What does every rabbit hutch need?

Ceiling frescoes.

Do they look familiar?

I had to do them from memory, on plywood, with an HB pencil.  They are not exactly my greatest artistic achievement.  However, they can't actually be physically seen by anyone but Rabbit - at least not until his hutch gets dismantled.

I hope he likes them...
